Gluteus Medius Exercises For Runners

The Best Techniques For Hip & Glute Pain Relief

The glute medius originates from the gluteal surface of the ilium and inserts at the lateral surface of the greater trochanter of the femur. This muscle is often weak in many individuals. It also has a tendency to build up fascial adhesions (AKA scar tissue) resulting in inflammation around the hip and hip pain.

In today's video, I demonstrate how to perform myofascial release techniques to reduce the fascial adhesion build up. Also I demonstrate one of my favorite glute medius stretches.

After we loosen the glute medius, we need to strengthen it. I have therefore included a couple of my favorite glute medius exercises.

Give these glute medius stretches, myofascial release techniques and exercises a try. After you do, please leave me a comment in the comment section down below. I'd love to hear from you!
